Spotlight: Well beaten on first two stable starts but came good with clear win at Uttoxeter (2m, heavy) last month; unlucky to be brought down in early stages of latest race, and will need to be taken very seriously if the ground deteriorates.

Spotlight: Struck form with two wins (good to soft/heavy, one over C&D) in early 2025 and last month's reappearance run was not devoid of encouragement (even though he was pulled up in the end); Sean Bowen moves in for the ride today; could have a say if that recent outing brought him in.

Spotlight: Largely consistent 7yo who ran well before fading into fourth over C&D (1m7f, good to soft; first-time cheekpieces) on Boxing Day; eased in grade today but ground slower than good to soft would be new to him.

Spotlight: Improving 5yo who returned from a break with two wins (both 2m, good to soft; unraced on anything slower) towards the end of last year; hiked up 10lb since Uttoxeter last time but he darted clear on the run-in there and must be considered.

Spotlight: Scored over C&D (good) in November, despite racing too freely, and can probably be excused subsequent 2m4f defeat here (looked a non-stayer); drops back in trip today and remains on a workable mark but the forecast rain is not in his favour.

Spotlight: 0-8 over hurdles but ended 2025 with two respectable fifths on good ground (one over C&D) and ought to cope if the ground turns soft (unraced on heavy); not ruled out each-way.

Spotlight: Gave good account when close fourth over C&D (good; also suited by soft) in November but was below that form at Taunton last month and is now 0-16 over hurdles; 1lb wrong; others preferred.

Spotlight: Not at his best on his two hurdling starts towards end of last year but now 1lb lower than when winning at Ludlow (2m, good) last spring and won't mind what the weather does.

Spotlight: Improved to cause 33-1 shock in Ludlow claimer (2m, good to soft) last month, his third stable start, and followed up with clearcut success in 15-runner Hereford handicap (2m, soft) just before Christmas; went up another 8lb for that but commands respect in current mood.

Spotlight: Won a bumper in 2022 and returned from long absence with two promising hurdle runs last winter but her two handicap runs in November were disappointing and it takes a leap of faith to support her here.

Spotlight: Unexposed after only three rules runs but showed nothing more than minor promise in his three qualifying runs (2m-2m4f) and needs to improve to pose a threat on this handicap debut.

Spotlight: 0-7 over hurdles; ran well for a long way when eighth from out of the weights over C&D (good to soft) on Boxing Day and is effectively 10lb lower today but his overall profile remains unconvincing.

Spotlight: Always behind in his last two qualifying races but shaped with significant promise before last-flight mishap on hurdling debut at Ludlow (2m, good) in November and remains open to improvement on this handicap debut.
